In-Ovation® System

In-Ovation® System braces

At Nicolas Orthodontics, we believe that all our patients deserve a smile they can’t wait to show off. However, many patients may hesitate to straighten their teeth due to the extended treatment time or appearance. We proudly offer patients the option of In-Ovation braces for a discreet and effective way to straighten their teeth.

What is the In-Ovation System?

Like traditional braces, In-Ovation braces use brackets and wires to straighten your teeth. The main difference is that the In-Ovation system is self-ligating. With a traditional brace system, the wires attach to the brackets with ligatures and require manual tightening. In an In-Ovation system, the brackets have metal doors that open to hold the wires in position and tighten themselves.

In-Ovation braces can keep the archwires in place without elastics. Since the archwire can slide freely along the brackets, this allows for a more comfortable braces experience. Many patients prefer In-Ovation braces due to their fast and efficient treatment process.

Types of In-Ovation self-ligating braces

There are three types of In-Ovation self-ligating braces available:

  1. In-Ovation R: The R brackets are high-grade stainless steel and allow precise and efficient control of tooth movements to improve comfort and reduce treatment times.
  2. In-Ovation C: Our C brackets are a clear ceramic material that blends in with teeth, making them a great option for straightening without altering the appearance of your smile.
  3. In-Ovation L: The L brackets mount to the backside of the teeth, making them impossible to see in a closed mouth for an invisible orthodontic treatment option.

What are the benefits of In-Ovation braces?

With three braces options to choose from, patients can straighten their teeth with the method that best fits their lifestyle and dental needs. Some additional benefits of In-Ovation braces include:

  • Easier cleaning: In-Ovation braces do not use elastic rings and feature a low profile to make cleaning your teeth easier and reduce the risk of decalcification.
  • Free movement of your teeth: The sliding mechanism will tighten the wire automatically to allow your teeth to move into alignment freely.
  • Faster treatment times: Your braces will tighten automatically without the need to wait for appointments.
  • Greater comfort: Since there is less friction with a self-ligating brace, you will experience less bone erosion for a more comfortable treatment.

How much do In-Ovation braces cost?

As with any braces treatment, the cost of In-Ovation braces will vary depending upon your specific orthodontic needs. Before you begin treatment, it’s important to remember that your In-Ovation braces are a lifelong investment into your dental health. By cleaning your teeth properly during treatment and wearing your retainer once you complete treatment, you will get the most out of your investment.
